It is humbling for me to post this blog entry, but at the persistence of several friends, here goes…

Many have asked us about the reality of some of the costs incurred thus far from outside lab work and doctors out of our insurance network as well as those costs unknown in our future with Noah’s health, equipment, home care and treatment. As a result, these friends want to help support our family financially. This is a collaborative effort and concern and we are truly humbled by the offer. I am especially blown by the friends heading up the coordination of this, one of which is Laura Huene, who 5 days prior to Noah’s grand arrival on June 10th, delivered her 4th child, a beautiful baby girl named Pearl who within one hour on this earth headed quickly to her Father’s arms! You can read about Pearl and Laura and Josh’s journey in an article she wrote at:

Other friends have had multiple miscarriages and tragedies of their own! We are humbled that in the midst of their own pain and healing they are reaching out to us in this way. Anyway, we have set up a benefit fund at Wells Fargo for “Noah Steven Graves”. Any further inquiries from this point will be fielded by Laura.

Her email address is: joshua.tree@comcast.net if you are interested in knowing more about her desire to fund raise for Noah. In the subject line of the email, please put “Noah Steven” and she will respond to you as soon as she can.

Jason and I are beside ourselves with this offer. We admit we cannot do this alone, just as we haven’t from the beginning. We can constantly feel your support through prayer, visits, letters, meals, calls, emails and encouragement. “Thank you” is truly inadequate, but we mean it from our deepest hearts!

Our lives are the brush, His blood -- the paint, this world -- the canvas, our ministry -- His masterpiece.

    LANDSCAPE By Roy Lessin,

Your life's like a landscape and God has the brush.
The work is in progress, He's not in a rush.
Each stroke has a purpose, nothing's by chance.
To see all His wisdom takes more than a glance.

Notice the sunbeams that shine on the dew --
Even the clouds can't keep them from view.
Look at the pathway that turns at the hill --
Its course will reveal what's next in His will.

The stream that's flowing with water so blue
Is bringing down blessings meant just for you.
The trees that are planted close to the stream
Will bring forth more fruit than you've ever seen.

The bird in the nest with mouth opened wide
Is just a reminder that God will provide.
Now look at the sheep in the meadow that's near
And notice the Shepherd that keeps them from fear.

He's brought them to pastures which give forth the best,
That cool and refresh, and keep them in rest.
The eagle above, that soars o'er the gale
Is God's way of saying, "My strength will not fail."

That part of the painting which now seems unclear
Will take on new meaning with each passing year.
So trust God to work in His own perfect way
And rejoice in the beauty He's painting today.

"And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again." Philippians 1:6 NLT

    Jason & Ade~

Please remember that as you feel helpless to help Noah, we feel helpless to help you. This isn't about dollars and cents. This is about allowing your friends and family to feel needed and let them DO SOMETHING! We need this probably more than you do to have a place to channel our desires to assist. Thank you, once again, for allowing us to help!

    God Bless~

I am sorry I haven't had the chance to go upstairs and visit you guys lately, I promise I'm going soon though! I miss Noah, I miss Em, and the rest the family. I miss seeing that radiant smile on your face despite the hardships you have been faced with. Your strength continues to blow me away!My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family. There's not a day that I don't sit and think about Noah and tears flood my eyes... he continues to be my strength and encouragement through the trying times in life and school! He truly has the power to melt peoples' hearts away...

  5. My heart ACHES reading your story. I will continue to pray for Noah's recovery. He is a beautiful boy! I am a first time mom to one son, Nicolas, born 5/4/06. I am grateful every minute that he is healthy. Your story is a reminder to all of us to be grateful for our health. I myself am walking proof that God not only answers prayers but performs miracles here and now in this time. Praying for your miracle to arrive soon!
    Blessings,
    Simone, CA
