I'm kind of excited about it. Being from Alaska, and knowing all the good she's done for our state in such a short amount of time.

I'm also afraid of who we'll end up with if McCain/Palin win in November.

  2. The next two months are going to be awesome! I think both sides now fairly have a run for their money and this will certainly be history in the making!

I have been reading your blog for a couple of months and have been so touched by your story and have been encouraged as a Christian. Thank you for sharing so candidly your life with us. I have found Emily's venture into public school so cute and exciting. Hope that gets better and better!

It's kind of tacky for me to be de-lurking on a post about politics. Forgive me. I was so unsure about Sarah Palin when the announcement was first made. After I had the chance to read up on her, I find myself excited about voting in this election-for the first time. She appears to be a tough cookie who is unafraid to stand up for conservatism. Hallelujah!

I look forward to getting to know her and her story in the coming weeks and pray that she is authentic-that she is truly as neat through-and-through as she appears to be. She gave me a shot in the arm! I am politically discouraged no more!

    Sincerely,
    Allie in AZ

I am thrilled to see that someone is coming on to the ticket that is Pro-life! The world needs people to stand up for the least of it's people. The ones who cannot speak while in their mother's womb. I believe that I read the same bible as Oback, however, he still cannot seem to figure out that human life begins at CONCEPTION! I pray that God blesses this election and that we are given the leader that this country so badly needs.

  6. I heard Sarah Palin's speech last night... AWESOME! She's the only reason I'm now going to vote for McCain. :) (Because, before he chose her as his running mate, I was completely underwhelmed by him.)

  7. I need to clarify that that doesn't mean I would ever vote for Obama... because that would never happen. I'm not a socialist... and I'm profoundly prolife. :)

  8. She was brilliant in her speech last night. I agree with allie. I've also had a shot in the arm and I'm excited! I'll be praying for her and her family.

Sarah Palin is made of the same kind of stuff as the women who helped settle this country. Able to encourage and nurture her husband, adolescent children, hold and love her infant and do serious business with whatever life is dealing out to her. Obviously, neither her husband or John McCain are bothered by strong women....it doesn't challenge who they are....they admire that in her, and rightly so.

The "Washington Elite" are not the kind who would have pioneered and settled this country....those people stayed back in NYC or Boston or Philly.....they are still the ones who aren't wanting to confront the things that threaten this country in order to take it where it needs to go. They like things just fine the way it is....comfortable for them....but beginning to rot and decay and stagnate. Women like Sarah Palin are like the Proverbs 31 wife....a woman of noble character.

  10. I too was not sure of McCain but I like his choice for VP. More power to a woman who can handle more stress than me. Poor Bristol, her oldest daughter. You know, she isn't the first 17 year old to get pregnant without being married. Get off her back nasty commenters ( there are none here by the way ).
